Disney's highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of Mulan is quickly approaching its release date in theaters. The movie has generated a lot of buzz about what isn't there (Mushu and Li Shang).

It's almost spring, and another live-action adaptation of a Disney cartoon classic is about to open in theaters. Mulan comes out on March 27, and the cast attended the world premiere of the film in Hollywood last night.

Disney’s Mulan remake is ground-breaking for female filmmakers, its director has said.

When actress Liu Yifei was younger, she needed to choose a song to perform for a school audition. She picked one from a movie she loved as a child: "Reflection," sung by Lea Salonga and Christina Aguilera for. Years later, Liu would fly halfway around the world to audition for the titular role in Disney's live-action remake.
