As if he wasn’t already busy looking after his business and staying on top of his TV commitments, esteemed chef Kevin Dundon has revealed he is writing his memoir while in lockdown.

The Dunbrody House entrepreneur began putting pen to paper following a pulmonary embolism that nearly took his life back in 2017, a chapter in his life that caused him to reflect on his own mortality.

Speaking to the RTÉ Guide, the 53-year-old says his autobiography will be a ‘warts-and-all’ affair. ‘It will be the full story,’ he adds, ‘I don’t believe in giving the gloss version.’ His most recent reflections bring him up to the age of 27 when he was the executive chef ay the plush Shelbourne Hotel.
