Peter Leven knows Aberdeen top gun Bojan Miovski is well worthy of his Player of the Year nomination. The North Macedonian international has been named on the Scottish Football Writers’ Association’s top prize nominations list, along with Rangers No1 Jack Butland, Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley and Hearts skipper Lawrence Shankland.

Aberdeen's Player of the Year Miovski sits on 25 goals and interim boss Leven believes he is good enough to hit 30 in his final three games against Hibs, Livingston and Ross County.

Leven said: “Bojan has been exceptional, his goals, his work-rate and his link-up play. He’s a good character as well, so I’m delighted for him.

Bojan has 25 goals and can he get to 30? I wouldn’t rule it out, he’s capable of scoring five goals in three games. If he takes his chances he’ll make it possible because when he’s on form he’s deadly.”Follow Record Sport on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond. You can also follow our dedicated Celtic podcast page and sign up to our newsletters to make sure you never miss a beat throughout the season.
