Peter Leven doesn’t believe it will be an issue stepping out of the firing line and back into a coaching role under Jimmy Thelin. He stepped up and proved his worth, as he dragged Aberdeen away from the relegation zone and ended by leading them to the top of the bottom six.
Leven enjoyed the experience but after his summer holiday he will revert back to first-team coach when the new manager and his team come in next month.
Leven, when asked if it will be difficult to go back to being a coach, answered: “No. I don’t think so. I have that relationship with them (the players) and respect in that way.
I will still shout and push them every day whether I am manager or coach. Nothing changes really.” Leven was more than happy to hold the fort and he has more than benefited from the experience.
