Queen's Platinum Jubilee.An extra Bank Holiday is planned as part of a special "once-in-a-generation" four-day weekend to celebrate Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne.Next year's May Bank Holiday weekend will now take place from June 2 to coincide with the "spectacular" celebrations.A series of events are expected to mark the milestone, but they will depend greatly on the coronavirus pandemic.Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said: "Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee will be a truly historic moment – and one that deserves a celebration to remember."We can all look forward to a special, four-day jubilee weekend, when we will put on a spectacular, once-in-a-generation show that mixes the best of British ceremonial splendour with cutting edge art.
