The Spanish tourism industry is already wilting due to the British quarantine with beaches deserted and bars deserted. While numbers were already down on previous years since the Government’s snap announcement to impose quarantine restrictions on Saturday night tourist numbers have been dwindling.
Local business owners and ex-pat Brits are now increasingly worried for their livelihoods and are desperate for the British Government to reconsider what they feel is a draconian decision.
On Tuesday, the Daily Mirror drove up and down the Costa del sol and witnessed beaches, bars and restaurants which should have been packed with British tourists lying almost empty.
