The tourist destinations have had to be closed after tests found the "illegal quantities of faeces". Officials released test results showing the levels of contamination on six beaches to mark World Ocean Day, just ahead of tourists returning to the White Isle.The Observatory of Sustainability published the investigation which took place on the famous Balearic party Island of Ibiza, off the east coast of Spain, in 2019.
The filthy water causes problems both for bathers and marine animals who inhabit the coast, reports Mirror Online.According to a press release, the observatory took 48 samples.
