Ahmad Massoud, 32, is heading up the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan against the extremist group, following in the footsteps of his fighter father Ahmad Shah Massoud.
The young Massoud was educated in Britain, having gained a degree from King’s College London before going on a one-year military course at Sandhurst Royal Military Academy.Afghanistan’s top spy and ousted Vice President Amrullah Saleh, who has a network of spies inside Kabul, is backing Massoud and his rebel army.
