Officers rushed to Walker Avenue, in Bolton, at around 4.43am on Tuesday, May 4, to reports of a stabbing. The victim, 15-year-old schoolboy Reece Tansey, was rushed to Salford Royal Hospital, where he sadly died from his injuries.
An inquest into his death opened at Bolton Coroner's Court this afternoon, May 14. At the hearing, police coroner's officer Andrew Pickles said that the Harper Green student, had been involved in an altercation on Walker Avenue, more than half-a-mile away from his Dunbar Drive home.
