Hearts defender John Souttar has left Robbie Neilson with big concerns after limping off against Dundee United. The Scotland cap looked to have picked up a knock after a foul on Nicky Clark that led to the Tannadice striker scoring from the penalty spot.He attempted to continue the game but pulled up holding his lower leg and went to ground. The centre-back was replaced by Tony Sibbick with the side trailing 2-1.Three separate Achilles injuries have hampered Souttar's career in recent seasons and fans will be hoping it's only a slight niggle.

It will be one that Steve Clarke is keeping an eye on as he prepares to name his squad for the international break later this month.

Rangers boss Gio van Bronckhorst will also be keen to hear the latest with Souttar agreeing a pre-contract switch in the summer.

It was a nightmare afternoon for the Jambos squad with Alex Cochrane, Cammy Devlin and Gary Mackay-Steven all also going off through injury in the 2-2 draw forcing Neilson to use all five of his substitutions.Following the full-time whistle, Neilson cooled the concerns over any long-term absentees: "It's like the walking wounded in there."The boys have a couple of days off (now) but now we have a massive game next week against St Mirren."I don't think they are too bad, to be honest, but they weren't able to continue to play."
