Shocking pictures have emerged showing the dreadful scale of flying tipping on Benefits Street with many branding it a "national disgrace".

James Turner Street in Winson Green, Birmingham, was the focus of the popular Channel 4 documentary. Benefits Street, which first aired in 2014, zoomed into the lives of its residents, 90 per cent of which are understood to be living on benefits.

But since the show's stint stint in Birmingham ended in 2015, the famous road has plunged even further downhill and people say it is a "national disgrace." New photos taken by a litter-picker show the extent of the rubbish, household debris and fly-tipping that has accumulated in the area.
