Hollie Doyle was cut to 16-1 third favourite with Ladbrokes for Sunday’s BBC Sports Personality Of The Year award after “the beginnings of a gamble” yesterday.
The 24-year-old could be backed at 33-1 to become racing’s second winner of the iconic turret-lens camera trophy, after Sir AP McCoy in 2010, on Wednesday morning.
But Doyle is now half those odds after steady support - and bookies predict her odds will continue to shorten.
