BBC viewers in tears over scenes of doctor's heart being restarted after COVID battle

BBC viewers were left in floods of tears this evening at harrowing scenes from a hospital. Surviving The Virus: My Brother & Me saw twin brothers and fellow doctors Chris and Xand Van Tulleken at work amid the coronavirus crisis.

Chris is a virologist at London's University College Hospital while Xand is a public health doctor. And during one particularly hard-hitting scene this evening, Xand found himself in A&E at Chris' hospital.

Following his recovery from COVID-19, Dr Xand suffered from recurrent bouts of cardiac arythmia. This led to doctors having to restart his heart during filming.
