Surviving the Virus viewers struggle to watch brutally eye-opening coronavirus documentary

Viewers of BBC One's Surviving the Virus: My Brother & Me urged people to watch the harrowing documentary, filmed from the front line amid the coronavirus pandemic.

It followed doctor Chris van Tulleken as he worked at UCLH in central London, during the first peak of Covid-19 in the UK. From treating patients seriously ill with severe Covid-19 symptoms, to fearing for his own twin brother's life, the eye-opening episode which aired on Wednesday night left many viewers thoughtful and moved.

It certainly changed some perceptions towards the virus, with many hoping others would consider the scenes before rushing back to normality.
