BBC bosses are to capitalise on the success of The Repair Shop with spin-off Saved and Remade. Instead of repairing and restoring a much-loved item, the BBC2 show will take prized possessions and turn them into something new.

Producers are asking the public to submit items of sentimental value that they would like to see transformed on the show, to be presented by former C4 Supershopper Sabrina Grant.

Red Sky Productions said: “Our expert craftspeople are poised and ready to take on your much-loved item and turn it into something you’ll actually use and enjoy while still celebrating the memories and stories attached.” Suggested possessions include cars, pianos and even skateboards.
