BBC Studios, the BBC's production and sales arm, has beefed up its commitment to diversity by installing an inclusion rider for all new BBC and third-party U.K.
commissions. The rider sets out a minimum target that 20 percent of all on-screen talent and production teams must come from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic (BAME) background; have a lived experience of a disability; or be from a low-income background.
There will also be an additional commitment to a target of at least one senior role on scripted and unscripted production teams being appointed from one of these backgrounds.
