Boxing Day punters dressed to impress as they braved the chilly temperatures and ignored the Omicron threat to hit the streets and continue their Christmas celebrations.
Large crowds were snapped getting in to the festive spirit as they descended on to bars and clubs in Wigan city centre to make the most of their Christmas break and party the night away.Many were sporting fancy dress, a Boxing Day night tradition for the Lancashire town.
Merry groups were seen in matching Super Mario, Oompa-Loompa and Where's Wally costumes.Revellers rushed out to bars and clubs ahead of Government discussions today which could see New Year's Eve celebrations impacted if additional curbs are brought in to control the spread of the Omicron variant.
