Holidaymakers in search a winter getaway had their trip delayed by 12 HOURS during a chaotic day at Manchester Airport. Passengers had been due to leave Manchester for Turin at 8.10am on Boxing Day, but didn't get in the air until about 12 hours later.

Michael Ackroyd, from Saddleworth, Oldham, was one of those affected by the delays. He and his family were looking forward to starting their skiing holiday when they were caught up in the disruption.
