Great British Bake Off's first ever vegan star, Freya Cox, was forced to use animal products during this week's technical challenge and fans of the show are unimpressed.
Scarborough contestant Freya, 19, who is the youngest taking part in this year's Channel 4 series, took to her own Instagram to apologise to fellow vegans as she warned them in advance of the programme.
She explained she was determined to show a different side to baking – one that doesn't have to involve dairy – and that there can be just as tasty an alternative.
Sadly, due to the rules of the show and ensuring fairness with the rest of the contestants, she had to use real dairy in the second round.
