North Ayrshire village are facing up to a flash-flooding nightmare they last witnessed 12 years ago. Residents of Glengarnock are preparing a huge clean up operation after Tuesday’s torrential rain.
Local councillor Donald Reid took to Facebook earlier to warn locals of ‘major flooding’ all around the area.He posted a series of shock photos on social media highlighting the extent of the damage and high water levels.They showed flooded streets impassable by cars and high water levels up the side of buildings in the village centre.Writing on Facebook, he said: “Just made it back having gone to Glengarnock to check on flooding issue.
