Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been out for a week already, and early signs are good for Nintendo’s latest island-living sim.
Maybe it’s because we’re all stuck indoors and desperate to go outside, or maybe it’s because the game is excellent (which we awarded a huge five-star rating in our review), but the more people playing it the better it gets.
That’s because each player begins on their own island, and that means there are hundreds of thousands to visit. Why visit other islands?
Not only is it fun to check in on your friends, but some deserted islands offer bountiful resources that you can take back to your own island, as well as new species of bugs and fish that you can drop into Blathers’ museum.
