Afghanistan: Dominic Raab heading for region as he avoids MPs' questions on holiday timing

A furious McDonald then told the committee he understood that all military leave had been cancelled in July because of the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan.McDonald said: ”I think many would think that all military leave was cancelled on the 23rd of July, it was a bad idea for yourself, the Prime Minister, and several other officials in the Foreign Office or Home Office and the Ministry of Defence to take breaks at that time.

I’ll leave it at that.”The Foreign Secretary faced angry questions from the panel of MPs over the number of people left behind in.
