A woman claims she had a "nightmare" trying to cancel her flights to Greece after TUI told her she could still fly abroad despite local lockdown rules in Cardiff forbidding it.

Christine Evans, of Llanishen, booked a trip to meet friends in Rhodes, the largest of the Mediterranean country's Dodecanese islands, with flights set for September 30.

However, three days before her trip the Welsh capital, along with Swansea, went into lockdown, with the borders around the city council area closed to anyone without a "reasonable excuse".

The Welsh Government's website clearly states booked holidays can no longer go ahead, putting Mrs Evans' three-week trip - with flights from Cardiff Airport - in jeopardy.
