A woman with a life-long lung condition meaning she is fed through a tube is urging people not to break lockdown rules this Bank Holiday Weekend to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Lisa Jones, 39, has spent weeks alone self-isolating as she is at high risk of becoming seriously ill if she contracts Covid-19.

The charity volunteer, from Salford, was rushed to hospital last year when a cold turned to pneumonia. She carries an emergency bag of pills with her but is worried that her antibiotics are becoming less effective the longer she takes them.
