Wishaw dad gets on his bike as he warms up for repeat London Marathon run

A Wishaw dad-of-two will be taking on the challenge of the London Marathon this weekend for the fourteenth time to once again help a charity for children.James Paterson and his wife Kirsty, who are both 48, have been raising money for the Children 1st organisation for 15 years now, James first took on the long-distance London run in 2009 and has completed it numerous times.Kirsty also completed it in 2019 along with her husband.

And when Covid prevented the marathon from taking place it didn’t stop James’ efforts, he took on a number of other challenges including virtual marathons where he ran from Motherwell’s Fir Park to the national stadium at Hampden and back again.
