As fans of the ITV soap know, the taxi driver was gutted when his wife left him for his hero. Tracy began a secret affair with former footballer Tommy Orpington after she employed him to do some painting and decorating at home.
Steve discovered the news after Tracy accepted his request to renew their vows and headed to ask bestie Tim Metcalfe to be his best man.
After Tracy discovered Tommy's plans to move to Spain for work, her loniliness triggered a reconsiliation with Steve. However, it didn't last long as it was revealed Steve had destroyed to letter in which Tommy asked Tracy to go to Europe with him and she eventually left with him.
