Millions of low income households across the UK could see their Universal Credit payments fall in April if a vote on a £20-a-week cut gets the green light today.
Ministers are set to vote on whether the government will extend benefit increases worth £20 a week to support families facing poverty during the coronavirus pandemic.

What is the vote on? It's on the Universal Credit uplift, worth £1,040 a year, which was introduced last April and due to end on April 12.
