BBC's Children in Need celebrates 40 years. The live show will of course look different tonight as it adheres to coronavirus rules – but it will still bring the trademark mix of comedy, music and sketches.The one-off special will be raising vital cash for kids around the UK, with the British public digging deep in their pockets to support worthy causes.The live telethon kicks off at 7pm on BBC – but will be a little shorter this year.Usually the show takes a break for the 10pm news but carries on into the night, finishing at midnight.But this year the plan is to end at 10pm, so there will be a shorter run time.Familiar faces will return alongside some newbies to take us through the three-hour spectacular.Comedian Mel Giedroyc returns to.
