Tom Parker 'listened to Oasis' Live Forever as he passed away surrounded by loved ones'

Tom Parker apparently played Oasis' Live Forever as he passed away.The Wanted singer and father-of-two passed away on Wednesday aged 33, after battling an inoperable brain tumour for over a year.Tom was a huge fan of Oasis, with their hit Wonderwall said to be the first song he ever learned to play on the guitar.

And according to The Sun he picked their classic 1994 track to listen to in his final moments. A friend of the star said the song was a "real anthem to strength and defiance" and that some of the lyrics spoke to Tom's struggle."You might have thought Tom would opt for something by The Wanted but Oasis' Live Forever sums him up perfectly - he was a rock star and that's how he wants to be remembered," they said."Like the track says, Tom really will live forever in his children, his fans and his music," the friend went on.Tom – who had two young children with his wife Kelsey – revealed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma and that it was inoperable.

However, he tried to remain positive and said in an interview with The Sun last year that he was determined to beat the odds.

Kelsey announced his passing on Wednesday, saying on Instagram that he had died with his family by his side."Our hearts are broken," she said."Tom was the centre of our world and we can't imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence."The singer's bandmates Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran and Nathan Sykes posted a message on Instagram saying that they were also with Tom when he died and that they were "devastated"."Tom was an amazing husband to Kelsey, and father to Aurelia and Bodhi," the emotional post said."He was our brother, words can't express the loss and sadness we feel.
