It’s been a topsy-turvy few days for Chelsea in their push for a top-four finish and Champions League football next season. The Blues went into last weekend’s fixture away at Sheffield United in third place, but were subsequently thumped 3-0 by the South Yorkshire side.
And it looked like they were going to surrender third in the table to Leicester, when the 2016 Premier League champions took the lead away at relegation-threatened Bournemouth, until a second-half collapse from the Foxes saw them lose 4-1.
On Monday, Manchester City ’s Champions League ban overturned it meant a top four position was again required to play in next season's competition.
