It has been quite a day for Manchester City youngster Cole Palmer. After stepping off the bench in the closing stages of City's 2-0 win over Burnley at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon, the 19-year-old then made the short hop across to the Manchester City Academy Stadium for the Elite Development Squad's Premier League 2 tussle with Leicester City.
Named in the starting line-up for the 7:30pm kick-off, Palmer, who starred for England's Under-21s over the international break, showed no signs of tiredness after a whirlwind day, scoring twice in the opening 45 minutes to put Brian Barry-Murphy's side in complete control by the half time interval.
