After City went in front thanks to a goal from Phil Foden, a routine night appeared to be on the cards for the Premier League side against a Club Brugge outfit they beat 5-1 away from home in the previous meeting.
However, the Belgian outfit were able to restore parity thanks to some lacklustre defending from City. After a brilliant save from Ederson, Bernardo Silva tried to thrash the ball clear but his hurried effort clattered into Stones ' face and over the goal line.
