Broadcaster Vanessa Feltz is taking over Carol Vorderman's Sunday slot on LBC permanently. Last month, former Countdown star Vorderman, 63, announced she would be stepping down from her radio show due to "burnout" from working seven days a week.
In an Instagram video, Carol revealed she had been experiencing a "tight feeling in my chest and I was utterly exhausted", but fortunately, after numerous scans and checks, she confirmed she has no underlying health issues.The 63 year old, who became famous for her mathematician skills as a presenter on Channel 4’s Countdown, took to social media to explain why she will no longer be continuing to host her radio talk show, although she promised she would “still be part of the LBC family.” In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “Hello, I’ve got some news to share with you.
After working 7-day weeks for as long as I can remember, I finally burned out just over 2 weeks ago and I ended up overnight in hospital.
Luckily, after many scans and checks, we know that I don’t have any underlying health issues whatsoever.” She continued: “So, after a proper talking to from my family and my buddies, I’ve taken the health scare as a warning sign to slow down slightly and have decided to cut my work back to weekdays for now.
