London will reach 32C again today, the same as yesterday's scorcher which saw thousands flock to public parks to soak up the sun.
Most of the UK will be hot, dry and sunny with sea breezes keeping some eastern and southern coastal areas cool. Northern and western Scotland and later the far southwest of England could see showers and storms.The Met Office had previously issued a level-two heat alert for large swathes of the country, with forecasters saying there was an 80% probability of heat-health criteria being met between Wednesday morning and Friday evening.
This was raised to level-three for the West Midlands and East Midlands on Wednesday.The alerts are issued when threshold temperatures are likely to be reached in one or more regions.
