Tyson Fury's co-promoter Bob Arum has fuelled excitement among fighting fans by claiming a blockbuster crossover bout with UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou "should be easy to make".

A fight between the two champions was teased after Fury successfully defended his WBC heavyweight title with a sixth round TKO win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley.

Ngannou joined Fury in the ring after his victory, with the Gypsy King telling ESPN: "This is going to be one very special fight. "It'll be something never before seen in the history of our sport.

We're not talking two guys around 140lb, I'm 270lb, he's 270lb. It's going to be an explosive fight when it happens."I'm the boxing heavyweight champion, he's the UFC heavyweight champion, he's in great shape, look at the muscles on him." Ngannou then added: "We are going to find out who is the baddest motherf***er on the planet." And Arum believes a potential showdown between the pair "should be easy to make", with both Top Rank and the UFC having broadcast deals with ESPN. "I don’t know what [Ngannou's] contract situation with the UFC is," Arum told USA TODAY SPORTS: "Obviously, it'd be a massive fight, and it should be easy to make." The veteran promoter also claimed the bout would "do bigger business" than the 2017 crossover fight between boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and UFC star Conor McGregor.
