It was his second straight defeat to the American, and third in four fights after being dismantled by Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018.'The Notorious' has hinted at a return to the octagon this summer, although fans are no closer to knowing his comeback opponent.
A trilogy bout with Nate Diaz or a fourth fight with Poirier were thought to be the most likely options, although the Irishman has also hinted at targeting a world title shot straight up.YouTuber Paul, 25, has regularly goaded McGregor over a potential bout, saying last month he'd "knock him out" inside a round.
Last July, he showed off a special "sleepy McGregor" chain as he mocked him ahead of the Poirier fight.'The Problem Child' himself has moved to a 5-0 record in professional boxing, following his PPV win over Tyron Woodley last December.
