Jake Paul said he keeps a picture of Eddie Hearn on the wall of his Puerto Rico Boxing gym for ‘motivation’ purposes. After several months of swiping at each other via press conferences and interviews, Paul and the Matchroom boxing ace have been co-promoting the historic clash between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano for the undisputed Lightweight Championship.

But despite the excitement building around the sold-out affair at Maddison Square Garden, Hearn and Paul have found themselves centre stage once again. The pair recently shook hands on a $1million (approximately £800,000) bet on their respective fighters to overcome the other in the squared circle.

But in the latest dig at Hearn, Paul admitted he keeps a photograph of the 45-year-old on his wall at the gym.“For motivation,” Hearn said to DAZN, when asked about the purpose of the photograph. “People like him drive me to become the best version of myself.“When I see the picture of someone saying ‘wait til you fight a real boxer’ in my gym, it motivates me to train harder every single day.

All of these people in the boxing industry who continue to down me and make excuse after excuse even though I continue to raise my level of opposition, continue to perform, continue to get big paydays, and continue to get knockouts of the year.“There is always something to say and it continues to drive me and motivate me, so that’s why the picture is there.”Can Jake Paul make a firm name for himself in the boxing industry, either in the ring or as a promoter?
