They both voted against the first package that included defense and immigration spending as well. The relief package will send a $600 direct stimulus payment to most Americans, and a $300 per week bonus federal jobless benefit to the unemployed, along with a new round of subsidies for hard-hit businesses, restaurants and theaters.
