A man's body has been discovered in the River Irwell in a rural area of Bury. Police officers and firefighters were called to Waterside Road, in Summerseat near Ramsbottom, at around 10am this morning (November 16).
Roads in the area were closed off and remained shut through the early afternoon while an investigation was launched into the cause of the man's death.
