On his new song, “Letter to the City 2,” Canadian rapper Tory Lanez takes the opportunity to address his issues with Interscope Records while borrowing a line from his former foe Drake.
It appears on Tory’s latest album, The New Toronto 3, which marks his final release on the label. On the track, which is produced by AraabMUZIK and C-Sick, Tory opens his verse by rapping: Drake spits a similar bar on his 2018 Scorpion cut, “Is There More,” when he says: In a track-by-track breakdown with Apple Music, Tory explained why he interpolated Drake: I just gave you an understanding of how we wrapping it up being that this is my last album with the label.
