Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.

A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.

He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.

A Tory minister has boasted it's "great" that so many people are "interested" in child hunger after he refused to extend their free meal vouchers.

Grant Shapps made the bizarre claim after his government's actions were shamed by campaigning footballer Marcus Rashford. On a round of morning TV interviews, the Transport Secretary faced down anger over his failure to extend £15-a-week vouchers over the school holidays.

The poorest children in Wales and Scotland will continue getting the vouchers - which are a substitute for free school meals - in August.

But in England they'll be replaced with a more general £63m fund for councils to fund activities and help. In baffling exchanges Mr Shapps repeatedly said it was "great" the 22-year-old
