Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Campaigning Marcus Rashford has said he wants to continue to do more for people in need after his free school meals victory.
The England and Manchester United star is already planning his next move after forcing Boris Johnson into a U-turn over children’s food vouchers.
Following pressure from Rashford, Downing Street announced a one-off £120million fund which will help 1.3million children in England over the six-week summer school break.
Rashford’s campaign has earned him plaudits from around the world. And a banner proclaiming 'Rashford 1 Boris 0' has been hung from a road sign in Wythenshawe, the area of Manchester where the striker grew up.
