Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Andy Gray has insisted that Marcus Rashford is most effective playing from the left for Manchester United and likened him to Thierry Henry.
Throughout the early stages of Rashford's career, there was a wild debate about his best position. Many felt the Englishman was best deployed as a central striker, although Jose Mourinho insisted otherwise and opted with Romelu Lukaku as his lone frontman.
With Lukaku sold to Inter Milan in the summer, many expected Rashford to take the mantle of first-choice striker, only for Anthony Martial to get the nod from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be club's new number nine.
It's a decision that has been inspired, with Rashford enjoying his best season to date, scoring 14 goals in 22 Premier League appearances.
