Top of double decker bus torn off as driver hits low West Lothian bridge

The top of a double decker bus was ripped off when the driver struck a low bridge.Luckily nobody was on the top deck when the accident happened but the B7010 has been closed at Fauldhouse Train Station this morning after a double decker bus went under the low bridge.Staff from West Lothian Council's Operational Services will attend shortly this morning to assist with the clean-up.Network Rail staff are on site are checking for any damage to the bridge but trains are believed to be currently operating as normal.The train station remains accessible from the east end.A West Lothian Council spokesperson said: "The B7010 has been closed at Fauldhouse Train Station after a double decker bus struck a low bridge."Our staff are attending to assist with the clean-up.

Thankfully we understand that the bus was empty at the time."Network Rail are assessing the bridge for any structural damage but our understanding is that trains are currently operating as normal.
