Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress.
Markle was raised in Los Angeles, California and has a mixed ethnic heritage. During her studies at Northwestern University, she began playing small roles in television series and films. From 2011 to 2017, she played Rachel Zane on the American legal drama Suits. She is an outspoken feminist and has addressed issues of gender inequality, and her lifestyle website The Tig featured a column profiling influential women. She represented international charity organizations and received recognition for her fashion and style, releasing a line of clothing in 2016.

The scene was captured in an aerial footage earlier this week and shows the extent of need that South Africa’s economic lockdown has generated among many who even before the pandemic were living a hand-to-mouth existence.
Residents from the neighbouring slums of Mooiplaas and Spruit, on the outskirts of the capital Pretoria, are seen getting in the line after private businesses donated 8,000 hampers.
Food parcels organised by the Tshwane Muslim Community and the Sutherland Ridge, Ikon Park and Westhills business communities were dropped to local charity food banks.
