As Omicron cases continue to rise in the UK, countries across the world have banned British tourists from crossing their borders.
Today (Monday 13 December) another 1,576 cases of the Omicron strain of COVID-19 have been reported across the UK, now taking the total to 4,713.
1,534 of these cases were in England, 27 were in Scotland and 15 were in Wales according to the UK Health Security Agency. It comes after the first death of a patient with Omicron in the UK was confirmed by the PM.
15 countries - including Australia, New Zealand and China - have now tightened restrictions, meaning British tourists are effectively banned from visiting the destinations.
