Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi insists there are no plans for his son Ianis to leave Rangers in January. The Ibrox playmaker is touted as the next big thing in his homeland as he follows in the footsteps of his father, who is considered the best player his country ever produced.
While Hagi Sr turned out for the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, reports in Romania have seen the Rangers star linked with Roma, Galatasaray, Lyon and Sevilla in recent months.
However, Gheorghe has now moved to cool the speculation linking Ianis with a move away from the Scottish Premiership. In an interview with Romanian reporter Emanuel Roşu he stated his son was happy to remain in Govan.
