Due to the new Omicron variant, several European countries have tightened restrictions spelling disaster for holidaymakers with trips to Christmas markets and ski resorts planned.
Tour operator TUI has scrapped trips to Germany, with cruises due to depart in December no longer going ahead. Germany became the latest European country to ban most travellers from the UK in a bid to slow the spread of the Omicron variant.
