Having sold more than 120 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling American rock bands, Bon Jovi rocketed to stardom in the late 1980s when 1986’s Slippery When Wet went super platinum and ushered in the era of hair metal bands that bridged pop and hard rock.
But it was never an easy road, and they almost imploded during that time. They endured, but they’ve still struggled too. Much of that is documented in “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story,” a four-part, all-access docuseries chronicling the epic past and uncertain future of one of the most recognizable bands in the world and its front-man, Jon Bon Jovi.
