Terrified woman impales foot on high heel while jumping away from huge huntsman spider
dailystar.co.ukhuge huntsman spider in her bedroom.Alyssa Lambert, 25, required surgery to remove the heel of the shoe after an X-ray showed it had entered 4.5cm into her foot.She had spotted a large huntsman spider on the ceiling of her bedroom in Sydney, Australia, but was injured by her heels when attempting to kill the eight-legged intruder with spray.Lambert stood on her bed and unleashed the spray onto the huntsman spider, getting up close to it, until she jumped away in panic after the spider lurched toward her, The Mirror reported.When the 25-year-old threw herself off of the bed, she fell onto the heel of a shoe that went right through the bottom of her left foot.Lambert said: "I freaked.
I yelled out to my housemate and she called an ambulance. I was in pure shock and shaking - and then the pain started to settle in."Alyssa said she called for her flatmate to pull out the shoe but they refused and called an ambulance.Paramedics secured the foot by wrapping it so that the shoe wouldn't move around before they carried her to an ambulance and took her to hospital.An X-ray at the hospital revealed the heel of the shoe had been lodged 4.5cm into Alyssa's foot, who required an operation to have it removed.Alyssa said: "Everyone at the hospital was just so amazed that I managed to puncture my foot with a heel that thick.
They were like 'well done, you've done a good job'."The surgeon was hilarious. She was like 'this is insane, please tell me you took photos, you are going to want to remember this story'."I am feeling better now and have been having a bit of a laugh.
